Rolando Boundaries

Since moving to Rolando Village in 2004 I have been curious about where Rolando Village begins and ends. The boundary stated on the community council’s site is missing some detail on the eastern boundary.

Rolando boundary per City of San DiegoBy reviewing a combination of the city’s map of San Diego neighborhoods and the SanGIS Interactive Map it is apparent that the the north end of the east boundary begins on 73rd as stated on the old community council web site. But the eastern boundary is more complicated. Rolando’s east boundary follows these streets in order from North to South: 73rd, Amherst, 71st, Colony (cuts through to 68th), 68th, Solita, 67th, from 67th (cuts through almost to University and turns eastward to 69th and then south to University). You can download the rolando_boundary.kmz and explore it in 3D with Google Earth (one of the coolest free programs you will ever download).Note: My interpretation of these boundaries is just a best guess.
